END YOUR RELIANCE ON UTILITY POWER, INTERNET
AND CELLULAR SERVICE DURING EMERGENCIES!

HIGH-AVAILABILITY ALERTING

When utility power, internet and cell service are all down, you can still reach employees, students, faculty, and members of the public with your emergency and non-emergency broadcasts via AM radio by creating a message and clicking the Send button. Then, your CAPS-compliant alert message is automatically sent to portable AM radio transmitters like the one shown above for broadcasting to the masses. You can also   broadcast pre-recorded MP3 files to listeners as well with the click of a button. Alerts can also be sent to MULTIPLE transmitters at the same time to broaden your reach.

ALERTS? JUST LISTEN!

People can listen to your alert broadcasts using their in-car AM radios and AM battery-operated radios like the one above. Alerts can be listened to with or without power, internet or cell service—simplicity that works when most other services may not be available. Alerts are broadcast continuously in a loop to help keep as many people informed as possible. Broadcasting alerts via AM radio is a great way to reach people that may not have internet/cellular service and for those who may be technically and/or visually challenged.  Using radio is also a great way to overcome language barriers.

TECHNICAL SUMMARY

There are several AM-transmitter models--some have a 3-5 mile range and others up to 25 miles.  There are 3 ways to send alerts through each transmitter depending on where you install it. They are:

  1. Plugging a mic into the transmitter to live broadcast alerts (LIVE) using your voice
  2. Uploading a pre-recorded MP3 file (via USB stick or remotely) that plays in a loop
  3. Uploading a CAPS-compliant message

Because these devices are professional-grade AM radio transmitters, they require an FCC license.
